Florence parking and bike rental

Cars must pay to park on city streets. Hourly rates vary according to the ZCS (Zona a Sosta Controllata, paid parking) area. Payment is made at automatic ticket machines located on every street. Around the historic centre there are numerous under and above ground parking lots connected to the city centre by public transportation. Attention: street cleaning is done either weekly or monthly. Cars must be removed. The city is divided into ZCS zones (“zona a controllo sosta” - controlled parking zones), where non-residents may park in the blue marked spaces using the pay and display facilities (the white marked spaces are for residents only), or in the various car parks. In the “Parterre” (Piazza Libertà), “Oltrarno” (Porta Romana), “Beccaria” and “Fortezza Fiera” (Fortezza da Basso) car parks, daily and night-time tariffs are available at concessionary rates.

Points are located in piazza della Stazione (Santa Maria Novella train station), near the Sant’Ambrogio market (piazza Annigoni), the Campo di Marte train station and in piazza Santa Croce. Hours of service vary according to the rental point, and both hourly and daily rates are available. Residents and those with a monthly bus pass are eligible for special rates.
